Ingredients

  • 200 g plant-based gyros strips
  • ½ red onion
  • 1 tomato
  • ¼ cucumber
  • ½ small head of lettuce
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 2 pita breads

Vegan Yogurt Sauce

  • 100 g vegan yogurt
  • 1 clove of garlic, crushed
  • ½ tablespoon lemon juice
  • a handful of fresh chopped dill
  • salt to taste

Preparation Method

    Heat the pita bread in a pan or oven for 2–3 minutes.

    Slice the onion thinly, dice the tomato and cucumber, chop the lettuce.

    Heat the olive oil in a pan, add the plant-based gyros strips. Season with oregano and paprika, sauté for 5–6 minutes until crispy.

    Mix all sauce ingredients in a bowl until you get a creamy consistency.

    For assembly: spread the yogurt sauce inside each warm pita, add lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and the gyros strips.

    Roll up and serve immediately, while warm.
