Bananas represent the taste of childhood! A sweet, strongly aromatic fruit, ideal to be consumed both as a nutritious snack and as a dessert.
Use:
Bananas are consumed fresh, ideal for a quick snack. They are most often added to yogurts, cottage cheese, smoothies, fruit salads or cakes. Who hasn't tried banana bread?
You can use bananas, for example, in a recipe for bananas with mascarpone and rum, pancakes with yogurt and bananas, poppy seed pudding with banana compote or banana cheesecake with salted caramel.
Storage:
Keep bananas at room temperature. Never store bananas in the refrigerator! The aroma, taste and consistency of the fruits are significantly affected by the ripening temperature.
Bananas have different degrees of ripeness, which are numbered from 1 to 7 and this number expresses the color change, from green to yellow. The ripening process takes between 3 and 7 days.

- ripeness level 2, light green shade
- ripeness level 3, more green than yellow
- ripeness level 4, more yellow than green
- ripeness level 5, only the tip and tail of the banana are still green
- ripeness level 6, the banana is completely yellow
- ripeness level 7, small brown spots begin to appear on the yellow fruit
