Kefir is a fermented milk product that contains friendly bacteria that contribute to maintaining a balanced intestinal flora and aids digestion. Kefir is obtained by double lactic and alcoholic fermentation of pasteurized cow's milk, with the help of lactic acid bacteria and yeasts - all agglomerated in kefir granules.
