Avocado "ready to eat" or avocado ripe for immediate consumption. You don't have to wait a few days for it to ripen.
The skin is bumpy, often nicknamed the toadfish. The color is usually brown to brown-purple.
How to use
Intended for direct consumption. Due to its creamy flesh and nutty flavor, ripe avocado is best suited for salads, as well as for various spreads, dips and other delicacies. It can also be sliced as an alternative to fresh pastry butter.
Or try a quick guacamole recipe. Mash the avocado with a fork, add lemon juice, season with salt and mix. Then cut the tomatoes, red onion and chili pepper into small pieces. Mix and add crushed garlic if desired. Finally, add ground cumin and coriander to taste.
Storage conditions
Refrigerated at temperatures between 4-7°C.
