About the producer
‘O Sole ‘e Napule has its origins in the 1930s, from the work and efforts of Francesco Calabria, born in 1905, producer and supplier of raw materials (tomatoes and fruits) for the most renowned Italian canning companies. For 50 years in the municipality of Maragliano, in the heart of the Campania region, Francesco Calabria, a skilled farmer, continued to develop the canning industry, becoming a point of reference in the supply of San Marzano tomatoes and other varieties in the northern part of the metropolitan area of Naples.
The experience gained in all these years led Afonso Calabria, the son of Francesco Calabria, to continue his father's business and to establish in 1980, ‘O Sole ‘e Napule srl, a company that wants to reach final consumers with a wide range of products and varied tastes.
Both now and in the future, the company is and will remain attached to the principles and traditions of the family, considering the development and consolidation of the ‘O Sole ‘e Napule range, in order to meet and exceed the expectations of its customers, by improving quality standards.
