ECO Sicilian Solarino Oranges

What is an artisanal orange? Oranges from large retail chains come from orchards of hundreds or thousands of hectares, where large farmers produce huge quantities, focusing on productivity.

The Solarino family has been producing (documented) for six generations and who knows how many generations before that organic oranges in small orchards, in a blessed area of Mediterranean climate, in Sicily, south of Catania, where oranges enjoy the sun of the day but also the coolness of the night.

Solarino oranges are produced on the southern slope of Etna, near the Mediterranean Sea, on a small, artisanal plantation. Vincenzo, who was born with an orange in his hand, placed there by his grandfather, as he says, continues the long tradition of growing oranges, as he learned from his ancestors.

Solarino are oranges with blond pulp, typical of the Sicilian territory. The pulp of this citrus is very sweet and very juicy.
